Commercial cold storage is the steady work: a restaurant adding a walk-in, a convenience store rebuilding its beer cave, a grocer replacing a run of glass doors. The budgets are smaller than our industrial side, but the tolerance for error is not. Most of these boxes go into a building that is already open and already trading.
That changes how the job is sequenced. A cooler that takes three days to build in an empty shell takes careful staging in a store that opens at five in the morning. We size the box, the doors and the refrigeration together so there is no second trip and no second trade waiting on us, and we hold stock doors and panels in Texas rather than ordering every piece in.
Downtime also costs differently here. A restaurant with a failed cooler loses inventory. A convenience store with a dark beer cave on a Friday loses the whole weekend.
